We provide art experiential sessions for individuals and groups.
Arting Hearts is a social enterprise that provides evidence-based art experiences for people of all ages, with or without any form of arts background. Art-making has the potential to empower individuals, increase self-awareness, and improve emotional and mental health when it takes place in the presence of a professional art therapist. From clay work to paints, textiles to crafts, individuals and groups can have the freedom to explore a whole range of art materials and work with their desired choice of medium.
Arting Hearts provides clinical art therapy for emotional and mental health, as well as arts-based activities that focus on play and general wellness for both groups and individuals. Our regular NGO/VWO/SSO partners are spread over a wide spectrum, with beneficiaries ranging from children of incarcerated parents, youths with mental health conditions or special needs, adults from community psychiatric rehabilitation, elderly at day care centers, and end-of-life palliative care patients.
As a social enterprise, Arting Hearts also provides mentoring and training either on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting, to equip beneficiaries belonging to vulnerable groups with the skills and resiliency to cope more adaptively with upcoming job interviews and workplace challenges.
As art therapists and mental health professionals, it is our hope to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce societal stigma. We do this by providing awareness talks at corporations, schools and other institutions, as well as develop art-based tools to help employees better manage their stress and emotions that stem from work or interpersonal relationships, thereby promoting holistic wellness in the workplace.
‘Arting’ is used in the present participle form of ‘art’ to indicate an active process; the act of making art. We believe that the arts has a way of connecting hearts on a level that no other modality can. Art empowers individuals and restores wellness; connects people and builds community; and reaches out to those whose words escape them.
